Community Health Net is proud to support PA Donor Day on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
PA Donor Day brings people across Pennsylvania together to raise awareness about the urgent need for organ and tissue donors, address common myths, and encourage more people to register. The date, 8/1, highlights the fact that one organ donor can save up to eight lives.
More than 6,000 children and adults in Pennsylvania are waiting for a life-saving transplant. Yet fewer than half of eligible Pennsylvanians are registered organ and tissue donors. PA Donor Day 2026 aims to help Pennsylvania reach the milestone of having 50% of eligible residents registered.
This year’s observance also takes place during National Minority Donor Awareness Month, which focuses on increasing awareness and improving health outcomes in diverse communities.
Community Health Net encourages members of our community to learn more about organ and tissue donation, talk with their families, and consider registering as a donor.
One decision can help save eight lives.
